Falkirk care home Resident surprised with afternoon teaA Resident at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk enjoyed a lovely surprise afternoon tea with staff and fellow Residents.

Sybil Myles, a Resident at Kinnaird Manor, had been feeling a bit low and was really missing going out for lunch with her daughters. So, wellbeing coordinator, Julie Sutherland, organised an afternoon tea treat for her.

While the two were there they looked at some of the postcards of kindness they had received from the local community and even managed to video call with two of her daughters.

Sybil said it was a lovely surprise, “This made my day, eating some lovely cake and being able to speak to my daughters. It was a nice change of scenery", she said.

Donna Stewart, Kinnaird Manor Home Manager said: “One to one time is essential for people’s wellbeing”. This is especially relevant now when so many Residents have had to isolate and have been missing their loved ones.
