The Orchard care home in Alloa – part of HC-One, the kind care company - welcomed friends, family and members of the community to celebrate the seventh annual Care Home Open Day on Friday 28th June.
Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the care services at the heart of their community. It focuses on bringing those who live locally into care homes to break down misconceptions, showcase what life is really like in a care home.
Residents at The Orchards opted to turn their Care Home Open Day celebrations into a fun day for all the family, with a bouncy castle, face painter, stalls, alpacas and a performance from The Resonate Choir.
Everyone had a wonderful day, with some Residents opting to help out with the stalls while others enjoyed the summer sunshine with their loved ones.
Fiona Johnstone, Home Manager at The Orchards commented: “Our Care Home Open Day celebrations were truly amazing, it was great to see everyone in such high spirits and we managed to raise an impressive amount of £312 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.”
