Family pod visits at Worsley care homeResidents and their Relatives at HC-One’s Worsley Lodge care home, are being reunited after visiting guidance changed meaning families can now visit each other indoors and hold hands.

Resident Eileen and her daughter Pam, were the ones to have the first pod visit at the home. Pam was very excited to be able to spend time with her mum, and especially holding her hand.

Both found it very emotional. Eileen was given flowers and a card from Pam, they both held hands with big smiles on their faces (like a Cheshire cat!)

This melted all Colleague’s hearts to see and gives hope for normality soon.

Eileen said, “What a lovely time I had. I’ve missed my family so much.”

Anne Bannon, Home Manager, remarked, “This was a beautiful thing to see, it melted our hearts.”
