Staff at Leeming Garth care home in Northallerton gave Residents a very merry Christmas surprise on Christmas Eve when they attended for duty in festive fancy dress.
Residents were surprised to see staff members Heather, Alison, Katie, Gemma, Celia, Andrea and Lorna dressed in a diverse range of Christmas outfits, including Frosty the Snowman and a Christmas Pudding.
Lorna Burn, Home Manager at Leeming Garth, was voted the best fancy dress outfit by Residents for her Virgin Mary costume.
Later in the afternoon, Residents joined in with a Christmas carol concert and enjoyed warm mulled wine and mince pies to get into the festive spirit.
Doreen Jepson, a Resident at Leeming Garth, commented: “This is my first Christmas at Leeming Garth and I have really enjoyed it. Thank you to all the staff for their wonderful performance.”
Lorna Burn said: “It was lovely to see the Residents’ smiling faces when the staff walked in in their fancy dress costumes. It really helped everyone get into the festive spirit.”
