Resident’s HC-One’s Needham Court care home in Jarrow enjoyed their first drive out since COVID-19 restrictions have eased in the home’s minibus.
It was an exciting day for Residents at Needham Court as they embarked on their first drive along the local coast since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents embarked on a journey, admiring the beautiful coastal views through South Shields and Roker.
The second minibus outing saw Residents visiting Herrington Park where they strolled through the grounds and admired the swans and geese on the lake. Residents commented that being able to get out and about again was such a joy.
Needham Court Home Manager, Joann Mills said: “I am so pleased that we are able to enjoy the fresh air again, after a difficult year you truly appreciate what matters in life.”
Located on Stanhope Road, Needham Court offers short and long term care packages for older members of the community needing residential or residential dementia care.
