Fish and chips through the decades for Brooklands Residents14 Residents at Brooklands care home which offers residential, nursing and memory care in Grimsby, had a great day in the garden supporting the local fish ‘n’ chip shop.

The theme for the day was going back in time and everyone had lots of fun with singalongs from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Residents made some Union Jack hats and Colleagues decorated the garden with bunting and flags. Some Residents in their room were brought some of the delicious fish and chips in and enjoyed some little singalongs with Residents too.

Some enjoyed a glass of beer and sherry, whereas other Residents were pleased with a nice cup of tea or coffee.

The home’s chef made some jelly and ice-cream which also went down a treat!

One Resident said, “It is so nice to be together.”

Lisa Laws, Home Administrator, said that the day was filled with lots of laughter and smiles.
