Flower power in full bloom at Kendal care homeLocal lady, Aimee Chorley donated a collection of flower seeds to the Residents at HC-One’s Summerhill care home in Kendal.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aimee used the lockdown to grow a variety of flowers in her garden and joined The Floral Project, where people receive seeds which they are supposed to grow and then hand out as a way of brightening someone’s day.

Aimee decided to brighten the day of every Resident at Summerhill by donating all of her seeds to the care home. Everyone at Summerhill was delighted with the seeds and used them to have a flower arranging afternoon with the fully bloomed results.

As a thank you for her thoughtful donation, Residents created a lovely arrangement which was given to Aimee.

Located on East View, Summerhill care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and memory care, for those living with dementia.
