Flu fighting support from Resident at Coventry care homeMary McGregor, a Resident at HC One’s Victoria Manor care home, has been support Colleagues get their flu jabs this week.

Colleagues at the Coventry care home asked if any of the Residents would like to support and encourage staff for getting their flu jabs.

Mary stood up to the challenge and wanted to get stuck into her ‘new role’!

Mary put on a sandwich board and t-shirt with words of encouragement for the staff. She also handed out goody bags filled with treats to the staff members once they had received their vaccination as a thank-you.

Mary was a little superhero and really made the staff feel at ease who were a little nervous to get them. 

One of the Colleagues commented “Mary really supported me through this, I’m scared of injections but she helped me through it.”

Mary really enjoyed being a part of the team and it gave her a great feeling that she had made a difference to the members of staff. 

The home manager said “It melted my heart how Mary supported the staff, she was a real star on the day, so lovely to see.
