Four-legged friend delights at Penrith care homePippa the Poodle has made a friend for life at HC-One’s Croft Avenue care home in Penrith with dog loving Resident, Edith Dixon.

Edith has always enjoyed the company of canines, she told the team lots of lovely stories about the dogs she had in her younger days, including a loveable Yorkshire Terrier named Bimbo and her farmer husband’s working dog, Gyp.

Pippa visits Edith and her fellow Residents at Croft Avenue, she loves spending time with everyone, getting lots of attention and treats throughout her visits.

Croft Avenue Home Manager, Teresa McGuiness said: “Pet therapy has such a significant impact on our Resident’s emotional and physical wellbeing, the smile on Edith’s face really says it all.”

Situated off Wordsworth Street, Croft Avenue care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care.
