HC-One’s Charters Court care home Residents were delighted as they welcomed a visit from a donkey, belonging to a local animal charity organisation.
Residents were pleased to meet the donkey as everyone enjoyed stroking her and feeding her some of her favourite treats.
Everyone enjoyed learning a variety of facts about donkeys, asking questions and finding out information.
Once the donkey and her handler had left the home, Residents and their Relatives enjoyed a delicious home made buffet as they spoke of the donkey and discussed their favourite animals.
One Resident commented: “The games we played during the day were such fun, I really enjoyed meeting the donkey.”
