Gateshead care home receives generous donationResidents and staff at HC-One’s Springfield House care home in Gateshead have been treated to a generous donation off one of the local supermarket chains in the town.

During the lockdown, it has been hard for everyone to get hold of basic food essentials such as bread and milk and basic cleaning essentials such as handwash and gloves.

However, Savers, a supermarket chain, who have a few stores close to Springfield House, have generously donated a lot of these essential items to the home. Michelle from savers sent the much-appreciated donation which contained all types of toiletries and some lovely snacks for the Residents and staff to enjoy when they have a chance.

Receiving this generous donation has helped with the morale in the home as the Residents were starting to get a bit low with them not being able to have any visitors.

Springfield House Home Manager Kay Rudd said: “It’s lovely to be given such lovely and much needed toiletries as with no visitors, residents were starting to get low. It is good to know that they are thinking of us in these trying times.”
