Glasgow care home raised £3000 for Residents on Gala DayHC-One’s Greenfield Park care home, on Myreside Street in Carntyne opened its doors to the local community on Sunday 1st September for the homes’ annual Gala Day.

Residents were joined by over 200 visitors throughout the day, which included friends, family and members of the team. A variety of stalls were organised, including a tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac and baked goods. Live entertainment was provided throughout the day, with the highlight event being a performance from traditional highland dancers.

A great time was had by all, especially Residents who were amazed with the turnout at the event and pleased to welcome everyone into their home. One Resident commented: “What a wonderful day, it was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves.”

Robert Murray, Greenfield Park Home Manager said: “What an amazing Gala Day, thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special, the generous donations and support on the day helped us to raise over £3000 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.”
