Glasgow care home takes part in BBC Music DayHC-One’s Greenfield Park care home, on Myreside Street in Carntyne welcomed local school children, musicians and choirs on Tuesday 1st October to celebrate BBC Music Day.

BBC Music Day 2019 was hosted on Thursday 26th September and kick started a week filled with thousands of events, TV and radio broadcasts all to celebrate the power of music and the impact it has on lives and communities. 

Residents at Greenfield Park were joined by friends, family, pupils from St Timothy’s school, The Mission Choir and other music enthusiasts for a day of celebration. The students performed traditional and infamous songs that originated in Glasgow, including Jelly Piece and many more.

Everyone sang along to the different performances from the choirs and reminisced about their favourite songs and how music has impact their life. One Resident commented: “I have had such a lovely wee day listening to all of the talented singers and musicians.”
