Glenrothes care home Residents enjoy spot of gardeningResidents at HC-One’s Lomond Court care home in Glenrothes have enjoyed some gardening as Colleagues look to spruce the homes garden area up.

Six bedrooms look out onto grass at Lomond and after discussions with the Residents garden club, it was decided to put a redone storage box on the grass with a natural and colourful floral pyramid in the middle, encompassing a pear tree which was donated by Homebase.

One Lomond Court Resident said: “That was hard work but fun, it is so beautiful.”

Rob Lomond Court’s wellbeing coordinator and several Resident discussed, designed and built the planter. Several Resident and families while having their garden visits have commented on how beautiful the planter looks and how it has changed that area of the garden.

Lomond Court Home Manager said: “The planter brightening's up the garden, it was good to see the Resident enjoying building the planter, painting and planting the flowers.”
