Glenrothes care home Residents take part in Active Fife programmeResidents at HC-One’s Woodside Court care home in Glenrothes have been taking part in the Active Fife Physical Activity programme and recently featured in their brochure.

For the past few years Residents have been regularly been involved in the courses of Active Fife in Fife. The training courses have become an invaluable part of the teams work and they have learned a great deal in the process. 

Not only are Colleagues fully competent in the seated exercise programme, the home also run a healthy amount of physical activities for their Residents, with anything from Zumba to light weight exercises.

Woodside Court Home Manager Nicola Procter said: “We are going for gold with Active Fife and regularly hire games from Fife Play Resource. The Residents and staff have so much fun with this.”

The team at Woodside Court encourage their Residents as much as possible to keep themselves physically active, always adding an element of fun to the procedures.

One Woodside Court Resident said: “This is good fun and not heavy to work with, I like the noise the rainmaker makes, it sounds like the sea.”
