At Godden Lodge care home in Benfleet, Essex, Colleagues hosted a Macmillan coffee morning in aid of the charity. The staff and Residents really enjoyed the day and it lifted everyone’s spirits during the typical British weather!
Colleagues Chloe, Debbie, Courtney and Jo all contributed to the day and it as clear the Residents enjoyed seeing the decorations and tasting the delicious cakes.
Jo, ‘Chief’ of the project, commented, “I hope the Residents enjoy the cakes.”
One of the Residents commented, “It’s such a nice thing to do, I expect it was a lot of work for you ladies but job well done.”
The home’s Manager, Lanie Mizona, remarked, “We are very proud to say we raised £130! A big thank you to the kitchen staff who made and provided the lovely cakes, ensuring that they catered to those with special dietary requirements.”
“Well done to our Colleagues, Residents who wanted to donate, and Relatives who, although they couldn't be there, sent money in towards the cause.”
“All the money has been sent to Macmillan Cancer Research and we are awaiting our certificate.”
