Green-fingered Glasgow care home Residents gear up for gardening clubSome keen Residents at HC-One’s Darnley Court care home in Glasgow have been gearing up for the return of the homes gardening club.

Darnley Court’s gardening club was due to start in the summer, but as lockdown restrictions were still in place it got postponed. With the club due to start this month, Residents have been preparing for it by doing some seeding, patiently waiting for the good old Scottish weather to get warmer.

Residents Jimmy McQuade and Maddie Archibald were the first to get gardening. They decided to plant some seeds in the homes plant pots and they cannot wait to see their plants growing in the coming weeks,

Darnley Court Resident Jimmy McQuade said: “I like getting my hands dirty, they will look good once they are grown.”

Residents Connie Blane and Joe Buonaccorsi were more than happy to inspect Jimmy and Maddie’s work when they were outside enjoyed some lovely sunshine.
