Green fingered Residents form gardening club at Stockon-on-Tees care homeResidents, friends, family and staff at HC-One’s Victoria House care home in Stockton-on-Tees have formed a gardening club to help transform the home’s grounds ready to enjoy in the summer months.

A group of green-fingered Residents, visitors and team members at Victoria House have come together to form a gardening club which will meet on a regular basis to plan and implement gardening projects.

The first job the group decided to focus on was giving the fence a new lease of life, after a trip to the local DIY shop, Residents selected a variety of colours which will be used to paint the fence with a rainbow effect.

Some members of the club have started growing tomato plants and are looking at more things they can grow in the coming months.

Sarah Dodsworth, Home Manager at Victoria House commented: “This is a wonderful project, it’s great to see everyone coming together and we are excited to see the transformation which will be thoroughly enjoyed in the warmer months.”
