The Residents at HC-One’s Hailsham House care home in Hellingly, East Sussex have been crafting homemade Valentine’s Day cards to send out to their families.
The cards were handwritten and were sent as a reminder that even in lockdown love can still be found in the simplest of places.
One Resident commented: “I can’t wait for Sandra to open my card. I hope it brings a smile to her face.”
Residents reminisced and shared stories of their loved ones as they wrote their sweet messages.
Making the cards lifted the mood at Hailsham House this Valentine’s Day as everyone told tales of their fondest memories and past Valentine’s Days.
Hailsham House Home Manager, Katie Brewster, said: “Residents were really happy to be able send their loved ones cards and it really made them excited to be able to share some love.”
