HC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough hosted a fang-tastic Halloween party for Residents, friends, family and members of the team on Thursday 31st October.
Halloween is an annual celebration that originated as an ancient Celtic festival where people would wear costumes to scare off ghosts. Since then, it has evolved into a day of fun festivities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.
The party started with a magical performance from Paul Lytton, a local magician who showed off his best tricks to Residents and guests. A variety of spooky games were on offer, including, Halloween-themed pass the parcel, apple bobbing, pumpkin piñata and much more.
Everyone tucked into a buffet lunch with hot dogs, Halloween cupcakes and other delicious treats. One Resident commented: “It was such a special day, seeing all of the children having a good time and celebrating a seasonal event as a community is just wonderful.”
Park House Home Manager, Julie Woods said: “Thank you to my Colleagues for organising such a lovely event, everyone was in such high spirits from start to finish.”
