Harvest celebrations at Wakefield care home Residents and visitors at HC-One’s Carr Gate care home in Wakefield hosted a fun-filled day on Friday 27th September with Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and its annual Harvest Festival.

Tea lovers and cake connoisseurs came together for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Carr Gate, a variety of baked goods and warm beverages were on offer which all of the money raised being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Later in the day, Residents were joined friends, family and local Councillor, Nic Stansby for an afternoon of autumnal entertainment. Food hampers were put together for a local food bank.

Clare McCourt, Carr Gate home manager said: “The harvest festival is an important day in our calendar when we can encourage community engagement, create new links with our Residents, and hopefully form new friendships.”
