Harvest festival celebrations at Leicester care homeResidents at Harley Grange care home in Leicester enjoyed a variety of autumnal activities for Harvest Festival.

Harley Grange collected a fantastic hamper of food to give to the local food bank, with generous donations from Colleagues, Residents and their Relatives contributing towards the cause.

The Harvest Festival celebrations began with a performance of Morning Has Broken, as requested by Resident Vince. Pam then read out the acrostic poem which was composed by those living at the home.

The afternoon continued as Residents sang a number of Harvest Festival songs and hymns, including We Plough the Fields, The Lord is My Shepherd, and All Things Bright and Beautiful.

Residents and their loved ones thoroughly enjoyed the day, as Pam said: “I liked singing the hymns that I sang when I was a little girl.”
