Hatfield Resident receives special HC-One staff name badgeChristopher Trusler has resided at St Christophers care home in Hertfordshire for four years and since his arrival, he has brought nothing but support to the wellbeing team which includes Alexandra Gough and Sarah Stamford.

Mr Trusler, who is more commonly known around the home as ‘Chris’, enjoys not only participating in activities but also helping to arrange activities and create new ideas. Chris has a main focus of bringing joy to the other Residents who are unable to leave their bedroom and takes a very active role in the creation of the mobile project.

As an ex zookeeper Chris also takes great pride in being a main caregiver to the tortoises that live at the care home and helps to complete their daily notes and feed them each morning!

As a result of everything Chris does, Colleagues thought what better way to celebrate him than with giving him his very own name badge with his 'Everyday Occupation' of Wellbeing Assistant for him to wear each day and make others aware of the essential role he plays within St Christopher's care home.

Chris enjoyed receiving his name badge and now feels he is a cemented part of the wellbeing team.

One Colleague commented, “Seeing Chris with a beaming smile on his face was a lovely feeling for all staff”.

Chris said that he felt very important and it was nice to feel part of a team again. He now has his photo on the board with his title for all to see!

Wellbeing Lead, Alexandra Gough, said, “It gives me great pleasure to present Chris with his name badge”.
