Hayes care home Residents reach out to familiesHC-One’s Aston House care home Residents have enjoyed keeping in touch with their loved ones recently through the use of video calling and creating special keepsakes to send to their Relatives.

One Resident in particular, David, has been missing his wife, Gillian, especially. As the separation has been something they have struggled with, he has appreciated being able to speak with her via video call, also giving Gillian a sense of reassurance that David was safe and well.

The video calls have helped ensure the Residents have remained positive and kept a smile on their faces thinking of their family members.

Everyone has also enjoyed creating their own keepsake gifts to be sent out to Relatives, using their fingerprints to create pictures alongside the words ‘fingerprints don’t fade from the lives we touch.’

Seema Jose, home manager, commented: “It is wonderful to see the Residents connecting with their loved ones, it really helps boost their wellbeing.”
