Residents at HC-One’s Aston House care home in Hayes, were treated to an evening supper of all things Irish, as they took part in St Patricks Day celebrations.
Aston House love themed days, so when St Patricks Day came along, they decided to go all out. To fit with the green theme, staff delighted Residents by decorating the home in green clovers and Leprechauns hats and played Irish pub music during the process. Irish gig music was played throughout the day which Residents danced along to, some Residents with Irish blood even knew a few and sung along.
"It is especially comforting for our residents with connections to Ireland, who are able to lead the celebrations and remember good times,” said Aston House Home Manager, Seema Sandeep-Jose.
The Residents had a fantastic time celebrating St. Patrick's Day. It was the perfect opportunity to get everyone together, eat good food and enjoy Irish music.
Barbara, a Resident at Aston House commented; "We had a fantastic time listening to Irish music, and enjoying some lovely Irish whiskeys too. "
Aston House Home Manager Seema Sandeep-Jose said: "Our varied life enrichment programme keeps Residents active physically, mentally and spiritually".
