Stevenage based care home, Woodlands View, hosted a Christmas cake competition this week.
The Residents on Wellfield House put their cake skills to good use and had lots of fun getting their hands dirty and baking while Christmas songs were playing; this really got everyone in the festive mood.
The show stopper cake did not win this year, but Residents said it was a fun morning that they really enjoyed it. The winning cake was from Astonbury House, a separate unit in Woodlands View.
Jean Riordan and Lilian Strange, pictured, really made a great effort and Jean said, “Our cake was the best!”
Fellow Resident Shirley commented, "Nothing beats the smell of a Christmas Cake."
Deby O'Hare, Home Manager, remarked, “It was nice to see the Residents getting into the Christmas Spirit.”
