Hexham care home celebrates longest serving member of the teamHC-One’s Acomb Court care home in Hexham is celebrating the hard work and dedication of Shirley Charlton, who has worked at the home for eleven years and makes her the longest serving member of the team.

Having joined the team at Acomb Court six months after the home was opened, Shirley has worked day and night shifts over the years and has even welcomed Colleagues into her home during the winter months when the snow was too bad for them to get to their own homes.

Both Residents and the team at Acomb Court value all of the wonderful support and quality care that Shirley has provided over the years and have congratulated her on her latest achievement.

Shirley commented: “I am very proud to be the longest serving member of the team at Acomb Court.”

Catherine McCarron home manager at Acomb Court: “Shirley always goes the extra mile for everyone and is an integral part of the community at Acomb Court. Life here truly wouldn’t be the same without her, and it’s really inspiring to work alongside somebody so kind and selfless.

“Shirley Charlton is exactly what HC-One is all about.”
