High tea served up at Hamilton care home memory care unitResidents at HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton recently enjoyed a lovely High tea that was served up by Colleagues.

Douglas View Residents in the Avon Unit enjoyed a sophisticated afternoon with some high tea and scrumptious goodies prepared by Nursing Assistant Janice Barnes and Care Assistant Angela Callaghan.

The good china was polished and Residents were ready to party, socially distanced - of course. The group of lovely ladies enjoyed a sing and dance along to all the classics and a good old-fashioned gossip, all while Janice and Angela kept the tea and cakes flowing.

Resident Irene Cuthbertson said: "I loved all the sandwiches, and that lassie (Angela) makes a lovely cup of tea!"

Avon Unit is our unit for ladies and gentlemen living with a diagnosis of advanced dementia. These regular tea parties set up by Janice and Angela help to brighten up their day and improve their mood.

Douglas View Home Manager, Lyndsey Barnes said: "It's always great to see our ladies enjoy themselves, especially when staff put in so much effort to make the day enjoyable.”
