Highclere Colleagues get creative for Christmas raffleThis is a different kind of news story today. Since it has been difficult to raise funds for the Residents Activity Fund this year, due to the current pandemic, Colleagues have been that little bit more creative.

“We have not been able to hold the regular fete due to the pandemic. Therefore, we have not had a chance to raise any money for our Residents to do all activities, so some Colleagues decided to create a beautiful, tasty sweet hamper to raffle off!” explained Home Manager Farai Maringa.

All Colleagues were asked to bring in a bag of sweets or chocolates to make the hamper up so no costs were occurred to the home, which means every Resident at the home will receive 100% profit from the ticket sales.

One of the lovely Colleagues at the home, Suzanne, decided to make this special gift to raffle as an ‘extra’. As you will see from the photos, it took her a lot of time and effort and is greatly appreciated from all at Highclere!

Suzanne, remarked, “Let’s hope we raise lots of money for our Residents. This is a great gift that will help us out very much!”
