Hinckley care home celebrate key dates in MarchResidents at HC-One’s Hinckley Park care home celebrated Mother’s Day and 14th March and St Patricks Day on 17th March.

On Mother’s Day, Residents sat down and reminisced about their Mothers, the selfless love of the amazing women who made the Residents who they are today, before opening their own presents from their sons, daughters and grandchildren.

The ladies were showered in love, flowers and were sent many cards, chocolates and other nibbles, to treat themselves on this important day. On the afternoon, Residents were treated to a lovely afternoon tea, courtesy of the wonderful kitchen staff.

On St Patricks Day, with the weather having been grim and grey over the past weeks, Colleagues thought a little colour and life was needed. This gave Colleagues an excuse to paint the town, well home, green and gold.

There was Guinness and whiskey to be drunk, an Irish quiz, traditional Gaelic music and Irish drinking songs, Irish stew for lunch, and more Guinness! Residents even had the chance to choose what to dress Hinckley’s Irish staff member up in.
