Hinckley care home help out with a cuppaResidents and Colleagues at HC One’s Hinckley Park have arrange their own coffee morning to help raise money for MacMillan.

Every September sees millions of people around the country getting together to raise money for MacMillan, and this is no different at the Hinckley care home.

It's a cause that's close to many people's hearts and unfortunately with what's happening in the world, whilst the morning is going ahead it is a little different.

Sadly the home can't invite people in and are discouraging people from baking their own cakes too. Instead everything is being supplied in-house. But it hasn't stopped them.

One Resident said "I'll have one of each. They do the best cakes here."

Residents and staff at Hinckley Park gathered together to celebrate the work of MacMillan and to raise a little money. It may not have been a huge amount but, as a certain High Street supermarket says, every little helps.

In light of all that's happening in the world, it was nice to spend a morning together, drinking tea, eating cake, chatting, and singing along to whatever came on our favourite radio station (Absolute 70s!).
