Hodge Hill care home begins ‘Relative drop off zone’ incentiveColleagues at HC-One’s Hodge Hill Grange care home were pleased as they announced that they were to begin a new incentive – a Relative drop off zone outside the home.

As they appreciate how difficult it has been recently for Residents and their loved ones, they decided to introduce a ‘no contact drop off zone’ in which Relatives are able to receive up to date information from their loved one, whilst also enabling Relatives to drop off any essential items for the Resident.

The home have also had rainbows created during their arts and crafts sessions and displayed them around the home, alongside messages from Residents to remind their Relatives that they are in their thoughts.

Theresa Ingram-Gettins, home manager, commented: “It has been such a great idea for the home, the Relatives have truly enjoyed it, as we have also used video calling to maintain contact between the Residents and their loved ones.”
