Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Acorn Hollow care home enjoyed an afternoon of reminiscence as they spoke of trips they had throughout their lives.
The afternoon was brought on as Colleague, Debbie had just returned from her honeymoon in the Isle of Man. Whilst away, Debbie had sent many postcards to the Residents, which they especially loved as it brought back many memories of their own holidays there.
Once Debbie had returned back to the home, it was decided by the Residents that they would create their own seaside scenes, decorating them with shells and sand that were brought back by Debbie.
Everyone chatted about their own memories of trips to the Isle of Man, as well as other destinations they had visited in their lives, sharing laughs and amusing stories with one another.
Rachel Astles, Home Manager, commented: “The Residents have enjoyed reminiscing this afternoon, memories were shared and we have enjoyed listening about Debbie’s trip.”
