Today is ‘Dog Day’ at Essex care home, The Hornchurch. So, the Activities Coordinator, Lisa, brought her dog to work with her, where she then visited all Residents to have a cuddle and chat.
All Residents really enjoyed the company of Boomer the dog and it brought a beaming smile to their faces. Lisa also said that she really enjoyed bringing Boomer round to the Residents as she mentioned they showed a lot of love to Boomer and liked that it was something different.
One Resident said, “He is so beautiful, I wish I could keep him! Come to Nanny."
Tania Banner, Home Manager, commented, “Having Boomer in today was very enjoyable for all Residents and an activity which we can complete safely while following social distancing."
