Residents from HC-One’s Oakhill House care home were delighted as they spent the afternoon in the home’s garden, which was decorated in a seaside theme.
Activities were enjoyed in the sunshine, including games involving a beach ball, whilst Residents got into the competitive spirit and took part in reminiscing of their memories enjoyed over their younger days during their trips to the beach.
Music played throughout the garden for Residents to enjoy, as they sang and danced along together, imagining they were at the beach.
In true seaside style, Residents then sat to enjoy a delicious fish and chip lunch before indulging in a home made honey glazed pineapple dessert. Doughnuts and ice creams were served through out the afternoon, giving that all important summer feel.
One Resident remarked: “I’ve had such a wonderful afternoon today, it’s been so exciting to re-live our beach days.”
