Resident and Colleagues at HC One’s The Sycamores made the most of the sun making an appearance by hosting a picnic party.
A number of the Residents at the Hyde care home spent their time outdoors enjoying the sun’s rays in the home’s courtyard.
Colleagues at the home set up the area with pretty table cloths, paper dishes, cups and some bubbles.
Everybody enjoyed a selection of tasty food including soup, sandwiches and a nice cool down with a tasty ice cream for dessert.
Music ranging from the 50’s up the 70’s were playing out which the Residents loved singing and dancing along to.
Residents were also served from the ‘Sycamore Bar’ where they had a choice of white and rose wine, plus lager and cider too. There’s nothing like a cold beverage on a hot summer’s day!
One of the Residents commented “It was a lovely party, the food was lovely and so were the people”, whilst another said “what a hot day, I really enjoyed myself sitting out in the fresh air with a glass of wine!”
It was a lovely day had by all and everyone looks forward to doing it again when the sun shines!
