Ilford care home Residents go green fingers for gardening competitionSeabrook Manor care home in Essex are eagerly taking part in HC-One’s annual gardening competition. Residents have been preparing for their entry.  

Residents enjoyed digging and planting the flower beds, see pictured.

Ms C’, who lives at Seabrooke Manor, said she hadn’t done any gardening work before but she didn’t mind watering the plants.

One of the activities Colleagues at the home said, “Our green finger garden team joined late but they made a big effort to make a difference before and after.”

Gladys Chibanda, Home Manager, commented, “Residents really enjoyed the session and like to get involved in a meaningful activity. It helps to benefit our Residents in terms of communication, reminiscing and bringing back fond memories.”
