Indoor Visiting begins at Horsham care homeSince the start of the pandemic Oakhill House care home, in Sussex, have not been able to accommodate any indoor visitors to remain as safe as possible.

“Back in July we began garden visits but soon realised as the Autumn approached we would need to re-think,” explained one Colleague.

Therefore, everyone put their heads together and identified a room in the home where they felt Residents could enjoy some relaxed and meaningful time with their loved ones.

They decided to use the garden room and spent time getting it set up and ready. The home welcomed their first visitors this week.

One Resident was very pleased, commenting, “(I am) so happy to be seeing my family again and in the warm!” Everyone loved being able to spend quality time with their family and in a warm and comfortable environment.

Home Manager, Shaun Matthews, said, “It’s so lovely to see our Residents so happy. The smile on their faces makes everyone's day!”
