Inverness care home Resident showcases artwork at her own exhibitionResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Cradlehall care home in Inverness recently enjoyed a wonderful Art Exhibition at the home, to view the paintings of Resident Marie Sinclair, a gifted artist in her own right.

Marie's works of art ranged from mountain ranges, landscapes of local areas and her family of pets. The art exhibition had a positive impact on the Residents and staff.

This inspired the memory of Residents such as Ernie who worked in Kintail in Scotland and after seeing Marie’s paintings of vast mountain ranges, brought him back to his times in the highlands. Resident Marjory also spotted a bailey bridge in one of the photos and Resident Sheila expressed her fondness of the pictures saying “the mountain scenes are beautiful.”

The Family of Marie gave permission for the paintings to be sold and the money that had been raised to be donated to the Cradlehall Resident's Comfort Fund.

Cradlehall wellbeing coordinator, Sandra MacIntyre said: “It was great to see so many Residents and staff appreciating the wonderful art done by one of our Residents, it made for a wonderful day in our home.”
