Inverness care home Residents celebrate Black History MonthResidents at HC-One’s Cradlehall care home in Inverness recently celebrated Black History Month and took the time to educate themselves on black history.

At Cradlehall, through a series of events held within the home, Residents and Colleagues celebrated Black History Month, educated themselves on black history and discussed what they had learned with each other.

First, Residents enjoyed a quiz on the subject, which really got Residents involved and thinking about the subject. Well done to team Dalcross who won the prize and to Nurse in charge Andrea for taking time to support Residents and help them to answer the questions.

Colleagues then played some Motown for Residents to enjoy a little dance and to celebrate the music from a black origin. Later in the week Residents celebrated with a virtual Caribbean cruise complete with mocktails.

One Resident said: “I went on a cruise to the Caribbean with my husband five years ago, the pictures brought back fond memories.”
