Colleagues at Winsford’s residential and nursing care home, Overdene House, have been Residents keeping in touch with family and friends via video calling on Zoom, Facetime and getting family to send pictures via WhatsApp too.
There have been many happy tears when Residents get to see their loved ones and Colleagues say that seeing the smiles makes it all worthwhile.
One Resident, Barbara Ashby, has enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and was over the moon showing off her new haircut which she had just received from a staff member as well.
One of the Residents commented, “It’s lovely. Just what we needed!”
Cath Burns, Home Manager, commented, “It was great to see all the smiles and, although we had tears, they were of joy!”
