Kendal care home Residents enjoy the glorious weatherHC-One’s Summerhill care home in Kendal recently had some lovely weather, so Residents decided to venture into the great outdoors and enjoy the sun in the homes beautiful garden.

The last few weeks in Cumbria have seen some lovely sunshine filled days so during August, Colleagues and Residents have been keen to enjoy some down time outside in the garden.

Some delicious ice lollies were handed out to a small group of Residents at a time which gave them a chance to chat and reminisce about old ice lollies and when the ice cream van used to come, all whilst remaining socially distant.

One Summerhill Resident said: ”Being outside and able to chat to other Residents has been lovely. The ice lollies were so fruity too.”

Summerhill are very lucky to have such a large beautiful garden and they always aim to make the most of it every chance they get.

Sean Moore, Summerhill’s Resident Liaison Officer said: “Getting our Residents outside is always a priority and due to the recent weather, we've been able to do that these last few weeks.”
