Kindness celebrated at Peterlee care homeHC-One’s Jack Dormand care home in Horden, Peterlee is celebrated the kindness of one Resident with a special afternoon tea party.

During a visit from the care home’s Area Director, two Residents shared nothing but praise for their fellow Resident Ms Harrison, complimenting her kind nature and motivation to help others. The team decided to arrange for Ms Harrison to receive her very own Kindness in Care award.

The Kindness in Care awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013. It recognises the efforts of their kindest Colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones.

Ms Harrison was presented with her Kindness in Care certificate and a bottle of wine during a special afternoon tea party with her fellow Residents. She was very pleased to have been nominated for the award and thanked everyone for arranging such a lovely day.

Jack Dormand Home Manager, Ann Marie Shillaw said: “Kindness is at the heart of everything we do at Jack Dormand, it was lovely to celebrate the kindness of one of our Residents.”

Located on Fourth Street, Jack Dormand care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
