Ladies pamper afternoon at Bishop Auckland care homeAt Eden House residential and residential memory care, Colleagues decided to give the ladies an indulgent, pamper afternoon.

Coupled with some soothing background music, a range of beauty and nail treatments were on offer. The manicure was a very popular choice; nails were cut, filed, shaped and buffed followed by a therapeutic ginger and lavender hand massage.

After this there were different skin treatments to choose from and by far the most popular were the face masks which gave several of the ladies' skin a healthy glow, one said, “My skin feels ten years younger!”.

The session continued with a glass of chilled prosecco and strawberries followed by a delicious afternoon tea provided by the home’s wonderful kitchen staff. The chatter and the giggles flowed throughout the session.

Residents enjoyed every part of the afternoon but loved laughing with each other while wearing face masks. One of the Residents said, “I feel like I'm at a hotel spa!”

Emma Wade, Care Home Manager, commented, “What a wonderful afternoon and we love making the Residents feel all relaxed and pampered.”
