Leeds care home create keep in touch cardsResidents at HC One’s Aberford Hall create personalised cards to send to loved ones.

With lock-down back in place, the Residents at the Leeds care home have been unable to see their loved ones as often as they used to, so they decided they wanted to make something that they could send to them through the post instead.

Julie, a care assistant at the home, helped the Residents to create their very own personalised cards.

Julie who used to be a hairdresser, then took them to the Aberford Hall salon and pampered them all with a shampoo and set.

The Residents wrote a poem to put inside their cards, and then had their photo taken of their new hairdo to send along with it too.

Resident Jean Burrows said “I she loved having my hair done - it always makes me feel better.”

It has been a lovely day and really lifted the mood of the Residents in the home, they got to send out something special and they look amazing too!

Another Resident commented “I feel so much better. I feel really happy when I've had my hair done. It always makes me feel so good. It’s so relaxing.”
