Colleagues at HC One’s Kesteven Grange care home have created their very own tuck shop.
It was decided further on to the salon project, that the Tuck Shop at the Hull care home also needed some well-deserved TLC.
A full re-stock of the sweet shop was decided this week so that going to the corner shop was brought inside for the Residents, especially those living with dementia on the first floor area of the home.
Sweet shop favourites where bought to bring the shop back to life, so the Residents could enjoy coming down to pick a quarter of sweets as they used to.
As always this was a success and Residents have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented “we just love it when the sweet shop looks this good, the choice is fantastic.”
Kellie Moore, home manager, said “We just love seeing their faces when they come to the shop, you can see that they definitely relive their youth.”
