Local Taxi Company help Hamilton care home Light Up at ChristmasA local taxi company has kindly gifted HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton, some beautiful outdoor decorations, helping the home light up at Christmas.

HC-One homes have been encouraged to ‘go big’ outside this year for their Christmas decorations, so when local taxi firm, Wellman Cars got in touch to kindly donate some outdoor decorations, this really helped the home spruce up their outdoor display.

Wellman so very kindly gifted Douglas View an absolutely enormous outdoor Christmas tree so that Residents could see the beautiful lights from their own windows.

Douglas View Maintenance Officer, Jim, worked all day to get the tree secured, which is very hard to do in Scottish weather, while Deputy Manager, Leanne and the homes receptionist spent their time hanging on lights and baubles.

The Residents love to look at the tree from their windows and it has really kickstarted the festivities at the home.

“The tree is lovely it’s so big I can’t believe it,” said Resident Carol McCuish, who can see the tree from her room in the Avon Unit.

This is not the first time that Wellman cars has joined forces with Douglas View in the Hamilton Community. They have made countless donations and discounts to staff and Residents over the years.

Douglas View Home Manager Lyndsey Barnes said: “Thank you so much to Wellman Cars for yet again demonstrating kindness and community spirit to Douglas View.”
