Local school gives goodie bags to Blacon care home ResidentsResidents at Lauren Court each received a goodie bag on behalf of a local company ‘Passion for Learning’ working with a primary school in Handbridge, Overleigh St. Mary’s Primary School.

Each bag contained some sweets or biscuits; a notebook and pen, a toiletries bag, some puzzle games and a hand-made card or letter from some of the Primary school pupils.

All of the bags were gratefully received with many of the Residents feeling touched by the thought that school children were wanting to put something together to make them smile.

Residents loved receiving the bags and reading some of the letters from the school children, one had said, “That’s really lovely”

Another Resident mentioned, “How thoughtful (it was)”.

Rebecca Jackson, from the Wellbeing team, said, “It was very special seeing the joy on the Residents’ faces as they received their goodie bags”.

With huge thanks to Overleigh St Mary’s School and Passion for Learning.
