Residents at HC One’s Worsley Lodge care home have been looking after some baby dolls.
Dancing with Dementia support team answered the Manchester care homes calls for some babies for the home, to hopefully inspire the Residents and give them a feeling of purpose.
Margaret has taken to the babies, she has given them names - Rosie, James, and Rebecca, and takes them everywhere she goes.
The babies have done exactly what the staff were hoping for. Before the babies arrived Margaret slept most of the day, she now feels needed, has a purpose and feels she has a responsibility.
Margaret is a lot happier and content, she loves her new family. Margaret said “I love my babies, they need me.”
The home manager commented “This is a fantastic achievement; it has made a massive impact to Margaret's well-being.”
