Residents have enjoyed a weekend of love and celebrations as part of Valentine’s Day at HC-One’s Victoria Manor care home in Whitley, West Midlands.
Everyone at the home received a very thoughtful gift from the Colleagues at the home; a red rose and a bag full of chocolate love hearts. The flowers and chocolates went down very well and cheered the Residents up on this cold Valentine’s Day.
Earlier in the week, Residents had sent Valentines out to their families. They each posed for a very special photo holding a love heart that said ‘thinking of you’. These were sent to their loved ones through the post so that they had something special to open on the day of love.
Victoria Manor Home Manager, Tina Booton, said: “It was nice to see people smile and feel they are loved. It’s the best we can do in this situation but it’s great to see their smile when they realise that we haven’t forgotten them.”
